A Late 18th, Early 19th Century Framed Drawing of Rue de Campo Vaccino, Rome; by Jacques Francois Amand Red chalk on paper. Signed lower left, J Aman, and inscribed with title. Jacques Francois Aman, French (1756-1844) A quiet and still view of the Rue de Campo Vaccino, forming part of the Roman Forum (Campo Vaccino literally translated as the ‘Cow Pasture’, a farmer and his cow lie to the bottom left hand corner), alongside the silhouetted architectural forms such as the temple of Castor.
