About the Item
This lovely and evocative oil on canvas painted in 1936 of a marina in the south of France is painted mainly in tones of blue and green.
The view is from under the leafy olive tree shade with many boats in the foreground looking out and across the marina to the sea beyond
The artist traveled extensively in 1930s and amongst other institutions studied at the royal academy in Stockholm.
