About the Item
Original 19th-Century oil painting on canvas of an English hound hunting dogs. This beautiful portrait depicts a majestic English sporting dogs in the field. The talented artist has masterfully executed the work with especially fine detail in the way the dogs are frozen in place. This is a fine example of English School painting and was probably a commission by the dog's owner. The attention to detail is excellent. Unsigned, this work needs additional research to discover this superb artist. Displayed in what appears to be the original giltwood frame.
There's a very small place with damage. The camera makes it look much larger than it really is you can almost not even see it with the naked eye.
