Original oil on canvas painting of Dryburgh Abbey and The Tomb of Walter Scott. Unknown artist, signed T.M.R.; indistinctly dated 1840. Canvas has craquelure and retouches throughout, some scratches. Canvas will benefit from cleaning which we leave to the discretion of buyer. Frame shows typical age-related wear with chips/loss to outer edges and decorative corners of front. Also scuffs, scratches and cracks, etc. This framed painting is stable and ready to be hung.
