A framed oil painting depicting the view to the Lake Chiemsee from Chieming, Bavaria. Snow-covered Alpine foothills rise in the background. The artwork is painted with oil on canvas in an impressionist style, with quick, visible brushstrokes and bright, natural colors. Painted by the German artist Alexander Michael in 1982, it bears his signature on the lower left side and on the reverse. Good condition, frame with some signs of wear.
Alexander Michael (1939-2024) was a German landscape, still life and architectural painter. His paintings can be stylistically assigned to Impressionism or a late Impressionist style. His loose painting style, applied with a sure hand, creates a lively and atmospheric effect with visible brushstrokes and bright colors. The light conditions, color tones and the artist's subjective perception are characteristic of his works.
