Antique porcelain plaque after Murillo Continental, 19th Century Height 28cm, width 19.5cm, depth 1cm This finely painted antique porcelain plaque depicts the Virgin Mary standing on the moon surrounded by winged cherubs, a composition after the 1678 painting by the Spanish Baroque master Murillo, who lived from 1618 to 1682. The plaque is delicately painted, and the composition is superbly colourful.
