A portrait painting of a woman on green. This wonderful painting is large and in charge. At 23” tall, it is is painting on a stiff white paper. The subject of the piece is a woman in profile. She wears a red head scarf tied at the back holding back her blonde hair. She wears a cream color dress and sports a red lip. A green background gives this painting a striking feel. Ready for framing. This piece is by the late Oklahoma artist and retired Air Force man Clair Seglem. Seglem painted into his 90s before passing at his Oklahoma residence. He was known for his striking portraits and still life paintings. Dimensions: 23" tall 17.5" wide.

Located in Oklahoma City, OK
Sourced from the estate of the late Oklahoma artist Clair Seglam. An airforce man for most of his life, Seglem only began painting after his retirement. Most known for his vibrant portraits and nudes, he completed a vast portfolio of work before he died in 2020. This piece is part of a collection that was found in one of his old sketchbooks. It was hidden away in our warehouse when we happened upon it during inventory one day. To our surprise, the notebook held a jewel box of unseen work. This piece is on a half sheet of watercolor paper. The sheet combines two paintings, one of which seems to be a first draft of this piece.
