Early 18th century portrait of a gentleman, William Woodhouse of Rearsby Hall.
Superbly painted, oil on canvas in nice condition, the portrait shows a gentleman in a large wig with his head turned slightly to the right, and he is wearing a white neck scarf and crimson red jacket, set in a 5” wide decorative gilt frame.
Both Frame and Portrait are in good very attractive condition
On the reverse of this painting there is a label.
“To William Woodhouse of Rearsby Hall, son of Rev John Woodhouse (born 1627)-born 1669 at 1742 aged 72, buried at Rears”
The Frame is 38” high and 33” wide
