A geometric oil on canvas painting by American artist Clara Shainess (1896-1987). This piece was acquired from a private collection in New York and features vibrant blue, purple and red hues. Presented as photographed in an ebonized wood frame and signed ‘Shainess’ on the lower left corner.
Clara Shainess was a New York based artist born in England who worked with oil paint, collage, watercolor, mixed media sculpture and tapestries. She is represented in the National Academy of Design, Whitney Museum in New York, American British Art Center and the Riverside Museum.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Presented as photographed in an ebonized wooden frame. Signed lower left.
