Oil on canvas and framed in a golden patinated frame with an oval cut-out. Craquelure on face and neck. Signed Friedrich Schilcher on the right side. On the back old label. Friedrich Schilcher (1811 Vienna - 1881 ibid.) was primarily a portrait painter of the Biedermeier period and was a scholar of the Vienna Academy.
