About the Item
A dynamic three dimensional painting of two spot lit dancers in Tomato Red, White and Brown by Norwegian Mid Century Artist Ivar Bruun. Mr. Bruun, best known for his use of built up plaster creating a sculptural relief effect in his paintings known as “Ivarism” created a notable and individual style. In the present work, the dancing couple have losses to both the heads and face and some level of restoration is recommended. Signed on the lower left. Unframed.
Dimensions: 21.5” high by 18” wide by .75” deep.
Condition: Please see detail photos. As stated, there are losses to both of the figures heads, otherwise a few small edge losses which do not detract and the painting retains a dramatic Mid Century presentation.
