About the Item

[Authentic work] ◆ Kobayashi Sogetsu ◆ Spring scene ◆ Flowers and birds ◆ Gunma prefecture ◆ Hand-painted ◆ Silk◆ Hanging scroll ◆ Kobayashi Sogetsu [Art yearbook appraised value 750,000 yen] 1902 (Meiji 35) ~1986 (Showa 61) Japanese Painter Born in 1902 in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, first studied under Sotatsu Tanaka, a disciple of Soun Tasaki, and later became a student of Suiun Komuro. He exhibited at the Nippon Nangain Exhibition for several years at the time, and his winning works during this period included ``Wild Thistle'', ``Turkey'', and ``Welcoming Spring'' owned by the Tochigi Prefectural Museum of Art. In 1939 he settled in Sano City. After the war, he founded ``Nangain'' with his fellow students under Suiun, and participated as a doujin. In 1946, ``Nippon Nangain'' was established, centered around Keigetsu Matsubayashi, a huge star in the art world. He will become a director. Later, he worked with Katsurazuki and others to leave the group, and participated in the establishment of ``Goso-kai'' (founded in 1962). Works exhibited by Gosokai include ``Playing Carp,'' which decorates the conference room of Sano City Hall. From around this time, he avoided the political and authoritative atmosphere of the central art world and began to concentrate on his artistic activities, which centered on free solo exhibitions at Tokyu Department Store. His solo exhibitions were held once a year until his death in 1986. In fact, as a Nihonga painter born in Nanga, his later works exude the elegance and aroma of Nihonga, based on the spirit and technique of Nanga, which is said to be ``Kiyon Seido''.In his later years, he developed a bright painting style with increasingly colorful colors. It's out. His works range from flowers and birds to landscapes, landscapes, and people. On the other hand, since he was the correct successor to Soun and Suiun's robes, he dedicated himself to the world as the responsible appraiser for both of them and Haruko Okuhara. This work is drawn by hand and on silk. The box is the same box. The paper has some small spots and wrinkles, but is generally in good condition.
