A few words from the artist, Richard Huard de Jorna, known as Jorna, born in 1946:
For several years I have been painting to relax from my geopolitical activity USA, EU, ASIA especially the Philippines (for the reconstruction in collaboration with President Marcos Ferdinand (amounting to several Billions USD).
Soon the value of my signature will be higher than the painting for the moment, a good investment for the future.
In my painting the choice of colours is influenced by geopolitical events.
I started to paint in 1989, at the beginning by pleasure and since 2015 I paint by taste of the creation, passion of the colours and for the work of the matter and the rendering of the colours (the majority of the paintings have a palette of 15 basic colours).
In my paintings you can find the emotional side of my character and the influence of world politics.
Some paintings are relaxing, others are more violent in colour and composition.
For me, a painting should have a soul and above all bring joy to the viewer.
My long experience in painting and my knowledge of the different trends allow me to offer you a wide range of paintings in a variety of styles and trends, paintings that offer an echo to your passion for painting.
Each emotion gives the paintings a special and unique character.
