Marvelous. GEOMETRIC ABSTRACT PAINTING 1959 After Alexander Calder This Geometric Abstract painting is an important and vibrant work by artist F.S. Tinnuzo. Done in 1959, it captures the crescendo of the mid century abstraction period. This painting was created while 1959 Cadillacs were being released with soaring tail fins, Castro became the Premier of Cuba and the first Barbie dolls were introduced to a generation of children. Within the abstractions you can almost sense all these conflicting and yet interlocking aspects of the 'modern world'. Visually, the work is conveys organized chaos. The embodiment of modern thought in art; random form and shapes that have a deeper meaning collectively than any single component. Simultaneously, while signalling about the future, the work pursues a subtler quest with its visual roots that hark to primitive art and mankind's cultural beginnings. This piece evokes some of Alexander Calder's paintings. The way it creates a sea of shapes and dominantly features primary colors. A very primal geometric aesthetic is established. The work is powerful, compelling and timeless. Art and frame are both In great condition and quite well preserved. Original Frame has been tinted both silver and red by the artist, giving it a surreal glow that beautifully complements the art.
