About the Item

Original oil on board 1950, “Portrait of a Horse”. Signed lower right by Harold Mcintosh. Born in Winnipeg Canada, Mr. Mcintosh studied at Winnipeg School of Art with L.L. Fitzgerald. He later made his way to New York where he worked as an illustrator. His work can be found in several homes in New England as well as museums. Frame maker Gallery label on the back. Art measures 24 x 36" x.75” deep. In a fine wood custom frame 26 1/2” x 38 1/2" x Condition: Very good overall condition with a slight loss to the lower left frame edge (Please see detail photo).
