Otto Ackermann - Summerly High Mountain Landscape ca. 1920s An impressionist oil painting depicting a high mountain landscape with pine trees in front of the mountains. Oil painting on canvas with pastel colors. Painted by Otto Ackermann in the 1920s. Framed with new silvered decorative frame. Ackermann (1872 - 1953) was an early member of the Deutscher Kuenstlerbund. In Duesseldorf he was a member of the Duesseldorfer Artist Association, from 1898 to 1953 also of the Artist Association Paint Box, from 1932 its chairman. In the early 20th century oil paintings often reflect people´s deep longing for security, beauty and a peaceful world. The natural landscapes show their beauty and majesty with powerful colors. The paintings of that time leave room for romantic feelings and sentimentality.
