About the Item
For sale, is a vintage architectural Postmodern design illustration or 'visualisation', on board, of an Industrial Estate in Southall, UK dating from 1988.
This unique airbrush and watercoloured work is signed in pencil by the artist, "Wendy Smith" and comes in its original mount, inscribed "Triangle Centre, Southall, 1988" in Letraset rub-down letters.
The artwork is in fair vintage condition, with some age-related spotting, visible on the sky in the illustration and the mount has marks and some denting to the corners.
The illustration is being presented in its original mount, as this may be of social interest, though the work could benefit from a new mount or having the existing mount trimmed down. Either way, it's a fascinating record of a commercial/industrial building, of little architectural value and illustrated using a now outdated technique. The building has survived to this day and is still in use.
