Known for his paintings and drawings, particularly in the abstract, figure, and landscape genres. He spent his early career in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to his native New England, where he has lived in Portland, Maine for several decades.
Lloyd's work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including shows at the Portland Museum of Art and the Ogunquit Museum of American Art. He has received grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and was a Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome.

Our gallery acquired a number of works from the estate of the late George Dergalis on behalf of his widow. This colorful abstract is signed and dated 1957. Artist framed, the piece bears a label on the back from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Mass. It is titled "Landscape." In good condition with minor paint loss and flaws and imperfections to the period frame.
