This work titled "Abstract #2" by artist Barbara G. Levitan was included in the prestigious Butler Institute of American Art Mid-Year Show in 1955. The Butler Institute, located in Youngstown, Ohio, termed “America’s Museum,” was founded in 1919, and is one of the earliest museums dedicated exclusively to collecting, exhibiting, and preserving the art of America. The Mid-year Exhibition as it is now termed, celebrated its 88th year in 2024. This work features rich color and deeply textured, heavy impasto in its original solid teak frame. Condition is very good. The work is signed and also has an art show label from the Butler Institute on verso. Large scale,
