A wonderful and quite engaging painting on board of the Santa Barbara California Mission - one of the more spectacular missions along the California coastline. The beautiful colors and hand painted detail (note the reflection of the mission in the fountain water) make this a special work. Signed by the artist (appears to be Blanche Sweger) and dated on verso (1967). Would be a great addition to any California art or artist collection or California Missions painting...

Barbara Oldenburg was born in Berlin in 1943. These works of her Stand out because each painting contains relief accents. In one it's a pearl necklace, in the next painting there is another item that has been painted thick while the rest of the depictions remain flat and smooth. When you take a close look you will also find drinking glasses on each work, plus a bottle of wine. All works are signed and numbered and come with a black wooden framework.
