Three Dimensional Original Landscape Painting by Luis Germán Cajiga Puerto Rico
About the Item
Luis Germán Cajigas is known for his folkloric style which celebrates the simplicity of life. In this original 3d painting, he is depicting a detailed three-dimensional cut paper landscape scene that features a flamboyant tree next to a small house with laundry hanging in the breeze. It is signed lower right Cajiga 79'. The wood frame has a raised double edge.

Luis Germán Cajiga is Puerto Rican painter, poet and essayist known for his screen printing depicting Puerto Rico's natural landscape, its creole culture, and religious motifs. He studied graphic arts at the workshop of the División de Educación de la Comunidad.
From 1960-1962 he worked as printer and Homar's assistant at the Graphic Workshop of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture. In 1975 he received his Master's from Inter American University.
