XL Italo Valenti Mid Century Modern Abstract Mixed Media Sailboat Oil Painting on Canvas, Signed and Framed Magnificent Modernist Super Large Formatted Mixed Media Abstract Oil/Canvas with Collage. The artwork is Untitled, and referred to by galleries and museums as "Abstract Composition in Yellow" Valenti uses both abstract and cubist painting styles. He applied the other media, perhaps paper or tissue paper, to the finished oil painting image, giving the work a subtle textural design, not easily captured in photos This monumental canvas is attached to reinforced wooden stretcher bars and framed in the original, to-image, modernist metal chrome frame. Measurements 60" W x 48'' H x 1" D Focal, Mid Century Modern, High-End Nautical, Seascape Sailboat painting. Perfect for a beach house at the Hamptons The Cape or lounging on the wall of a Palm Springs oasis. Warm, calming, pale yellow with orange highlights. ABOUT THE ARTIST Italo Valenti. (1912 - 1995) Italo Valenti was an Italian painter who was born in 1912. His work is currently being shown at the Galleria d`Arte Moderna Roma in Rome. Numerous key galleries and museums such as Bechtler Museum of Modern Art have featured Italo Valenti's work in the past. Italo Valenti's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 400 USD to 36,595 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork and year of the sale. Since 2000 the record price for this artist at auction is 36,595 USD for Dardi di Luce, sold at Christie's Zurich in 2011. The artist died in 1995.
