Female Nude Black & White Signed Photograph of Mysterious Masked Woman in Water
About the Item
A very alluring, mysterious, strange, large fine art silver gelatin photograph of a beautiful masked (like a Japanese Noh theater character) woman floating ethereally in a vast body of dark water with her arms outstretched in somewhat of a Christ-like pose. Her face is covered by a striking white mask that reveals no emotion. Though we find it peaceful and serene, the image can be interpreted in many ways. It is a very beautiful, moving, and engaging work.
The photo is signed, numbered (1/5), and dated (2014) by the artist on the mat below the image. This work was clearly created by a master craftsman but we have yet been unable to identify the artist.
The piece came from a Los Angeles art and photography collection.
Would be a fantastic collection to any fine art nude photography collection or make for an eye-catching stand-alone accent artwork in about any setting.
