Starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and so many more, Star Wars (retroactively titled Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope) was released in 1977 and forever changed the face of cinema. Written and directed by George Lucas, the film began a phenomenon franchise which is still going as strong as ever today.
This wonderful and rare "Style-D" original release poster was created in 1978 as part of the extended first release of the landmark "blockbuster" film. Featuring brilliant artwork by the legendary Drew Struzan, this design is said to be George Lucas' favourite. This first release 1978 poster is in mint condition and has been backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
