Original antique advertising poster promoting the Carnevalsfeste des Clubs der Rheinlander Koln - the annual Cologne carnival festival in February over the Faschingsdienstag (Shrove Tuesday) week featuring a great design of a man dressed as a harlequin clown on parade with colourful ticker tape in the foreground and the Silhouette of Koln Cathedral behind him with the traditional greeting Alaaf (hurray) above in large red letters. Artwork by the notable German Sachplakat graphic designer and typographer Hans Rudi Erdt (1883-1918). Printed in Germany by Hollergaum & Schmidt, Berlin. Horizontal. Good condition, creases, repaired tears and minor loss on margins.
