Original antique travel poster for Watford featuring a great illustration of market sellers by the British painter and graphic artist Elijah Albert Cox (1876-1955) depicting a man standing between a greengrocer behind his fruit stand and a flower seller in the foreground, the bold text in yellow lettering on the margin below. Printed by Avenue Press Ltd. Issued by the London Underground Electric Railways Company for the Bakerloo tube train service extension to Watford Junction on the Watford Branch line in 1916. Electric Railway House Westminster. Good condition, small restored tears, small restored paper losses, restored creasing, foxing, staining, backed on linen.
