Rare original vintage large size travel poster advertising London by the Hamburg Sud Shipping Line (founded 1871). Stunning image featuring a British Army Life Guard in uniform wearing a helmet with a white plume standing in front of Tower Bridge, raised to let a boat through on the River Thames, against bright background. Text below in German. Artwork by the German painter and graphic artist, Ottomar Anton (1895-1976). Excellent condition, restored small tear and minor loss on edges, backed on linen.
