About the Item
This very rare poster designed by Herbert Paus for the Certain-teed building supplies company was one of several images painted by Paus for an ambitious campaign to promote the company between 1925 and 1929. Most images were used for magazine advertisements, and all featured a strong, nude male figure in dramatic scenes rendered in brilliant colors.
