About the Item

Highly rare and full of rich, dramatic color, this poster depicting three steelworkers, their bodies rosy from the glow of molten steel at their fingertips, was issued by the National Service Bureau Inc. of New York and Chicago to encourage saving among America's workers. The poster is based on a painting by Clement Donshea, a New York artist known for his illustration work and mural painting. We could find only one other example of this poster that has survived to this day. (Dimensions include matte and frame.)
