YUNX (Wryneck) - S.J. Torquilla var., BLACK SPOTTED R. 3. G. PICUS (Woodpecker) - F.P. Virginiana var., PILATED W. – CAROLINA W. 4. G. SITTA (Nuthatch) - T.S. Europæa, SPECKLED N. Publication Information: Published on January 1, 1811, by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme & Brown, Paternoster Row, as directed by the Act, the print is part of Rees' 'The Cyclopaedia, or Universal Dictionary of Arts, Sciences, and Literature'. The work was significant for its comprehensive coverage of knowledge and was published in serialized form from 1802 to 1820, comprising 39 volumes of text, 5 volumes of plates, and an atlas.
