About the Item
Vintage Art Deco signed lithograph for sale. It's an authentic lithograph by Victoria Montesinos, and is hand signed and numbered. It is an Artist Proof edition, and only 60 were made. It is in image of an Art Deco woman and has a beautiful use of colors. There are soft pastels in green, teal, pink, blue, gray, and white. It is matted and framed, and signed on both the artwork and the frame itself. It has an acrylic cover to protect the artwork, and has the original Art Deco lacquered frame. The artwork itself is in excellent condition, and was professionally matted and framed back then. The cream lacquered frame shows some vintage wear as shown. It was hand printed by Montesinos on Arches paper, and dates back to 1984.

Vicky Montesinos
Victoria Montesinos was born in Mexico City to a renowned Mexican movie director Fernando A. Rivero. By 1983 she relocated from Mexico to the U.S. to create lithographs after she was contracted by one of the largest galleries in the U.S. While Montesinos was working in New York she had the opportunity to work with acclaimed surrealist painter Leonora Carrington, which was highly educational for her. Despite her success in the United States, Montesinos made a decision to return to Mexico. While home her style evolved to include oil paintings and serigraphs on textile.Victoria (Vicky) Montecinos (Born 1944) is active/lives in New York / Mexico. Victoria Montecinos is known for Painting, floral serigraphs on textiles. Victoria Montesinos was born in Mexico City, the daughter of a well-known Mexican movie director, Fernando A. Rivero, and Maty Humana.
