Antique print titled 'A new carriage for a Fire Engine'. Three views of a new fire engine carriage design by William Stanes that enabled the quick movement of firefighting equipment. This print originates from 'The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure'. Artists and Engravers: The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure was a periodical published in London in the period 1747–1814 by John Hinton and W. Bent. Condition: Good, general age-related toning. Original folding lines, some wear. Blank verso, please study image carefully. Date: 1749 Overall size: 20.5 x 26.5 cm. Image size: 18 x 22 cm.
