Latin American Mid Century Modern Framed Color Etching VENUS PRIMITIVAS by Mexican artist Raul Anguiano 1968. The piece depictics two voluptous female figures in close proximity in a surreal impressionist style. Hand written on bottom edge: 3/30 - VENUS PRIMITIVAS - R. Anguiano 68 Measurements: SIGHT – 8 inches square - FRAME – 14 inches square Condition: Very Good Condition. FRAME – minor wear and ETCHING – minor discoloration on the edges. José Raúl Anguiano Valadez (February 26, 1915 – January 13, 2006) part of Second Generation Mexican muralism movement. Anguiano was inspired by indigenous Mexican history, traditions, festivals and native religious culture.
