Marauders, Antique Etching by Herbert Dicksee. A wonderful framed etching by Herbert Dicksee of a lion and lioness, Marauders. The black and white wildlife picture shows a lion and lioness crouching behind some rocks, very similar to another of Dicksee's etchings 'Raiders'. Monogrammed in the bottom left hand corner, HD and in pencil in the margin 'etched by Herbert Dicksee R.E.'. Framed in a nice reeded oak period frame with gold slip, paper label to the rear 'Framed by G. Woolf & Son, Ld. (see you get to the right shop). Note our Number is :- 67, Westgate Road into Pink Lane, Newcastle on Tyne'.
