This lithograph, “The Enchantment of the Hours – The Rain Shower”, is signed by Henri Rivière and bears a red stamped mark in the lower left corner. The artwork is authentic and original.
As for its condition, please note: in the margin, there are stains and ink marks.
On the lithograph itself, there are small stains in places.
The lithograph retains very fresh colors, and once framed, most imperfections will be barely visible.

Henri Rivière (1864–1951) was a French painter, printmaker, and illustrator. He began his career in drawing, then moved into intaglio printmaking, specifically etching, in 1882. At the same time, he embarked on a career as a stage director and set designer, starting in 1886 with shadow theatre at the cabaret Le Chat Noir, where he enhanced the performances with innovative colored stage sets. He later devoted himself entirely to painting and printmaking, establishing himself as a major figure in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he created approximately one thousand watercolors).
