About the Item

Henri Rivière – “La Féerie des Heures - Twilight” This lithograph is signed by Henri Rivière and bears a red stamped seal in the lower right corner. The artwork is authentic and from the original period. In the margins, note a pinhole to the left and a few small stains. On the lithograph itself, there are two ink marks in the sky on the left side and some very small spots in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color; once framed, most of the flaws will be barely visible. We have taken as many photos as possible to show all defects so that you can assess the condition yourself. Sold as presented. About the Artist: Henri Rivière (1864–1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then moved into intaglio printing, especially etching, in 1882. In 1886, he also became a stage director and set designer for the shadow theatre at the Cabaret du Chat Noir, where he revolutionized performances with the use of innovative colored scenery. He later dedicated himself entirely to painting and printmaking, becoming a key figure in the history of etching, printmaking, woodblock printing, lithography, and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors). Our numerous photos allow you to fully appreciate the quality of this lithograph. Please review the photos carefully for condition details. Feel free to zoom in — the photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Sheet: Height: 68 cm Width: 30.3 cm Image (printed area): Height: 60 cm Width: 24 cm A5365
