About the Item

Henri Rivière – “La Féérie des Heures - The Wind” This lithograph is signed by Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp mark in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and from the original period. In the margin, please note: a vertical crease on the left, a folded bottom-right corner, and small spots. On the image itself, there are small stains in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color, and once framed, most of the defects will be barely visible. About the Artist: Henri Rivière (1864–1951) was a French painter, printmaker, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then turned to intaglio printmaking, especially etching, in 1882. He also worked as a stage director and set designer from 1886 at the shadow theatre of the Cabaret du Chat Noir, where he innovated with colorful scenic designs. He later dedicated himself entirely to painting and printmaking, becoming a prominent figure in the history of etching, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor — producing around a thousand watercolors during his career. Our numerous photos allow you to fully appreciate the quality of this lithograph. Please study the photos carefully to assess the condition.
