About the Item
A pair of wood-block printed wallpaper panels now mounted on wood. Featuring a top medallion depicting a hunting dog tracking a pheasant. Below is a pastoral scene of a cowherd and cattle. On a ground featuring diagonal stripes and all surrounded by a turqouise lappet-motif border. Now mounted and framed within a black, painted wooden frame. Probably French, circa 1800.
