About the Item
1845 Pair of Large Framed Samplers by the Baudain Sisters, English. A rarely found pair by Mary Ann (age 10) and Elizabeth Jane (age 11). While each worked with identical tree of life (Adam & Eve) and Georgian brick town house, etc. there are a few differences between the two. Likely from the large Baudains families of the Isle of Jersey. Period stained & veneered pine frames, possibly original. Museum conservation backing & glass. Minor veneer bumps.
