About the Item

A most unique and richly carved Italian 18th century Neo-Classical st. patinated Wood and Giltwood plaque. This wonderful demi lune shaped plaque/trophy is centered at the bottom by a most charming Green Man mask with Giltwood accents and framed by scrolled foliate motifs. The mask is surrounded by classical weapons such as swords, axes, quivers, spears and fasces accentuated with Giltwood. This most decorative plaque is centered by a suit of Roman centurion's armor and plumed helmet.
