Gilt Plaster relief depicting the Russian Dancer Lila Nikolska.
24"3/4 x 24"1/2 (including oak frame)
Maurice Picaud ( PICO ) was a French architect who created the facade over the entrance to the famous and popular Parisian Folies Bergere Cabaret Dancing.
PICO Was also an Interior Designer and has been choosen to create this Art Deco facade depicting the dance.
The Folies Bergere was Internationaly popular for all the performs by Lila Nikolska, Loie Fuller, Josephine Baker…
The two last images are showing some photographies of the Folies Bergere facade, a detail of this facade, the dancer Lila Nikolska posing and dancing for the sculpture, and Maurice Picauld himself with one of these plaques.
