Monumental 19th Century Black Forest Carved “Spoils of the Hunt” Wall Clock

About the Item

One of the most impressive masterfully carved German or Swiss black forest wall clocks I have ever had in my possession circa 1880. The shear size and quality of the carvings is incredible. Adorned with several duck and bird forms to the clock, a rifle, catch bag, powder horn and bird call. Fully 3-D carving also providing depth to the silver dialed clock face. Chiseling to the backboard - all to the utmost finest detail.
