English Sterling Silver Floral Scroll Engraved Rope Twist Bangle Bracelet 1960s
About the Item
Wonderful sterling silver floral and scroll engraved bangle bracelet with a rope twist edging and a safety chain. It is slightly oval, the inside measurements are 6.4cm / 2.5 inches by 5.5cm / 2.1 inches, and the width is 1.8cm / .7 inch. The bracelet is stamped with a lion, an anchor and the date letter P. This means that the bracelet is sterling silver, was assayed in Birmingham, England, and is dated 1964. The makers mark is JS for Joseph Smith and Sons. The bracelet is in very good condition, with scratching as expected. There is one very minor indentation on the outside. The clasp works well.
This is a beautiful silver bangle with lovely engraved floral and scroll decoration to the front and back, from the 1960s.
