Tessier London Enamel on Gold Rooster Brooch
About the Item
Circa 1969, 18k, by Tessier, London. This charming Chanticleer pin is beautifully figured, well-sized, and finely fabricated. Set with a ruby eye and accented with bright red enamel, the look is smart town and country. Chic! Excellent condition.
Remark: "At the farmer's market or shopping in town, this rooster will be a fine companion."
2nd Remark: Designed by Tessier in London for the crew of the nuclear submarine Valliant to be gifted to Queen Elizabeth commemorating her visit and inspection of the boat. This example is a second identical piece made for the wife of one of the officers.
