About the Item
Leitão & Irmão Art Deco Emerald and Diamond Earrings in Platinum and White Gold, Lisbon, c. 1930s. A striking pair of Art Deco ear clips by the historic Leitão & Irmão, crown jeweler to both the Portuguese and Brazilian crowns, crafted circa 1930s in platinum and white gold. Each earring is centered with a vivid baguette-cut emerald, estimated to weigh approximately 6.80 carats in total, framed by a scintillating border of round brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.70 carats across both earrings.
Set in a finely constructed double-tiered mount with a rectangular profile and openwork gallery, the earrings feature elegant screw-back mechanisms in white gold, retaining their original structure and wearability. The gemstones are set in platinum, a material favored during the Art Deco period for its strength and light-reflecting properties.

Antique La Belle Epoque Colombian emerald and diamond chandelier drop earrings in silver and yellow gold, circa 1915, possibly Portuguese, in fitted case by Reis & Filhos Porto jewelers. Each earring of an articulated floral and foliate design is grain-set and step-down-collet-set throughout with vibrant green Colombian emeralds and Old Mine-cut and Transitional round brilliant-cut diamonds. These jewels are secured to reverse with an English lock fitting.
Diamonds: estimated 3.0 carats in total. Emeralds: estimated 2.5 carats in total; Colombian geographic origin opinion (assessed). Dimensions: 4.6 x 2.5 cm. Gross Weight: 10.28g.

Museum quality antique 18th century chrysolite chrysoberyl pendeloque pendant earrings, Portugal, circa 1770. Each earring of an openwork design with a navette shape cluster top suspending a ribbon-tied bow terminal from which hangs an elongated drop-shaped cluster, pave- and collet-set throughout with circular, marquise, cushion and calibre cut yellowish-green chrysoberyl stones close-set in silver. These earrings are secured to reverse with a lever-back fitting consistent with Portuguese jewels of this period.
Later Porto assay mark “old man’s head” (used 1884-1984) for antique artefacts. Dimensions: 7.9 x 2.6 cm. Gross weight: 37.26g.
