About the Item

A pair of vintage Finish modernist Lace or "Pitsi " dangles from Liisa Vitali in solid 18K Gold.This pair dates to ca. early 1970s. Drops are freely suspended and will mark any slightest movement of the head. Hallmarked 750 on the wires. Each earring is 41 mm long suspended.Each section is 8.5mm x 8.5mm. Weight : 2.4 grams Used finest condition.No dents on deformations. Liisa Vitali ( 1918-1987) was one of Finland’s most important goldsmiths / jewelry designer, whose progressive and sensual approach to jewelry making strongly contributed to Finnish jewelry becoming greatly appreciated worldwide in the 1960s and 1970s. Vitali is best known for her beautiful ”Ladybird” and ”Lace” series.Vitali’s artistic style is a unique,beautiful representation of the Finnish modernist jewelry that emerged in the early 1960s,inspired by Scandinavian jewelry and Finnish folklore. > > Most of the items that we sell at Atelier De Montplaisir are not new at all if not stated otherwise.
