This ravishing Rivière line necklace is over 200 years old, yet has retained every inch of her splendor! Each flat-cut Garnet has been foiled to perfection, with every single one exuding a mouthwatering cherry red hue, glowing with scarlet red hues. Every Garnet is securely set in a classically Georgian piecrust setting, a testament to the Georgian's fine ability for craftsmanship! This exquisite garnet necklace, with its enchanting allure, perfectly captures the elegance and sophistication of the Georgian era. Each foil-backed Garnet has been hand-set in piecrust settings, a typical hallmark of early 1800's craftsmanship. Rare Antique GIA 2ct Red Spinel & Diamond IMPERIAL RUSSIAN Karl Faberge Tsarism 14K Rose Gold Drop Earrings Boxed, Circa 1890s These incredible Imperial Russian earrings, which were created by imperial court jeweler Carl Fabergé's artisans in the late 19th century, a unique and extremely rare a pair, feature the most glorious red gems, now GIA certified as all-natural Red Spinels. Once favored by Imperial jewelers (who may probably have thought they were rubies!), their fiery glow is undeniable. Stunning Spinel gemstones in the Center are approx. 2.0 carat total ( 1 carat each ), Natural Unheated " NO HEAT " Oval Cut Deep orangy RED in color, certified by GIA #1232575668. The inner fire, with just a whisper of orange, is simply captivating. It's no wonder these gems were adored by Imperial jewelers! The Red Spinels glow with an unparalleled intensity, accented by dazzling diamonds. 16 Old cut Diamonds (8 on each earrings), approx. 0.36ctw total and I-J VS/SI quality overall. The Bows decorated with small pearls. The length 20.28mm and width 13.99mm. Thickness 9.27mm. The weight is 8 grams. Chances are you have never heard of a spinel, but you won't soon forget it once you lay eyes on one. They have fantastic sparkle and intense color. The red spinel could rival a ruby any day, and chances are it has more sparkle, too. TRULY ONE-OF-A-KIND! Their Hinged Back fastening, developed in the late 1800s that marked a significant advancement in jewelry design, offering enhanced security over hook fastenings. The hallmarks on this pair, such as "56" zolotniks ( 14k - 583 gold) tell us that they were made in Russia during the Imperial Period before the Communists revolted, which resulted in the Revolution of 1917.
