An antique pearl, enamel, and yellow gold necklace, comprising one round seed pearl, two dogtooth pearls, and pink and yellow enamel, in 9 karat yellow gold. This handsome necklace is perfectly Art Nouveau in design. The necklace features a substantial gold trace link chain, which is fastened with a sturdy box clasp. The chain is adorned with a slider, which the chain is get through, allowing one to tighten and loosen the necklace, so the wearer to place the slider wherever is most opportune. The slider is ornamented with a beautiful 5-petalled flower, which is decorated with graduating pink and yellow enamel, and set with a seed pearl to the centre. From the terminals of the chain, a pair of ‘dog tooth’ pearls are suspended, named as such for their irregular and elongated shape, and a favourite of the early 20th Century. A stunning, fine and impressive antique enamel, Art Nouveau pendant; part of our diverse jewellery and Art Nouveau pendants collections. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique pendant has been crafted in 18k yellow gold, in the iconic Art Nouveau manner*. The pendant displays a central pierced decorated interlacing oval design ornamented with impressive hot enamel decoration, incorporating blue and green graduating tones. This antique enamel pendant suspends from a 14ct yellow gold chain via two ring loops to the apex of the frame, and secures to the reverse with a conventional ring bolt clasp fastening. The reverse surface of the Art Nouveau pendant is embellished with the contemporary engraved inscription 'To E.M.T. from W.E.F. 1st June 1910'. This pendant is hallmarked to the reverse with the 18k gold mark (18CT) and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold with a 14 karat gold chain.
