Antique Edwardian 15K Gold & Platinum Blue Enamel Diamond & Pearl Pendant Brooch
About the Item
An Edwardian guilloche enamel, diamond, pearl, platinum, and yellow gold brooch and pendant, comprising one seed pearl, sixty-five rose cut diamonds and a panel of blue enamel, set in platinum, and backed in 15 karat yellow gold, with yellow gold pin and fittings.
This delightful Edwardian piece can be worn both as a pendant, and as a brooch, making it perfectly versatile. The brooch is centred on a pale, white, and shimmering seed pearl, which is set to the centre of a round panel of blue guilloche enamel. A circle of sparkling rose cut diamonds surrounds the pearl, set in millegrain-edged platinum. A further circle of yellow gold, adorned with ‘X’ motifs encases the enamel. Scalloped detail surrounds this, with a delightful, scalloped edge in platinum, set with further rose cut diamonds. The piece is fitted with a detachable diamond-set bale and sports a pin and catch in yellow gold (likely a later replacement). This elegant piece is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The brooch measures 24.5mm long, 24.5mm wide, and 7mm deep (excluding pin and fittings).
