About the Item
A fine antique compact shaped pendant for a necklace.
In 10k gold.
With a large central cartouche painted with a fine enamel landscape scene. The foreground having polychrome flowers and the background with a depiction of a river, a majestic building, and a mountain-scape.
The cartouche is flanked by repoussé flowers & leaves and engine-turning.
Fixed with an integral bail and set with a jump ring.
Simply a wonderful gold pendant!

There is a slight dent (or possibly filed mark) to the seam in the base, some minor losses to the enamel scene (at the edges), some surface scratches throughout, and some light edge wear. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
